The House
Camphill House is a listed building made of traditional red granite. It was built in 1827 for a surgeon who looked after the Forbes of Craigievar Castle (one of the loveliest castles in Scotland which is situated about 1 mile from the house).

Sheltered within its grounds of 4 acres, the house retains many interesting features, not least the murals painted in 1914 by the well-known Scottish artist George Melvin Rennie. These depict local scenes such as Craigievar Castle and the ruins of Corse Castle.

Accommodation
Guests are accommodated in a newly rebuilt wing which is entirely self-contained and provides complete privacy.

One downstairs bedroom has twin beds and an ensuite bath/shower room.
An upstairs bedroom with delightful nooks and crannies is reached via a galleried landing, and has a double bed and ensuite shower room.

The wing has its own large, sunny sitting/dining room for the exclusive use of guests.
